Beautiful Day

We spent the day at the beach yesterday. It was SUPER cold in town but I really wanted to take a walk on the coast so Ron agreed to take me anyhow. We bundled up in sweatshirts and mittens but when we got out to the beach it was sunny and beautiful! I couldn't believe it! We had such a wonderful day together. I wish this baby would hurry up and come so Ron can stay home with me. I miss him so badly when he's at work. I know he misses me too because he calls me every other hour to let me know. He's so silly. I love him.

Babyshower!

Yesterday we had our second baby shower, this one was just for our close friends. As usual, plenty of pictures!

3D-4D ultrasound

I just got back from my 3D-4D ultrasound! It was even more wonderful than I could have ever dreamed it would be! Ron's Mom, step mom, and my mom and dad were there with us. They put us in this cute little room with two couches, a plush arm chair for Ron, a bed for me, and a HUGE tv. They had these sweet nursery rhymes playing, and everything was MAGICAL! Lily was very active at first and kept turning away from the camera. She does that when we're trying to get a heartbeat too, she'll swim away every time we find her. She's not ever born yet and already playing games with us! FINALLY, during the last three minutes or so, she turned STUCK HER TONGUE OUT and struck several poses. We have a dvd of it, but couldn't get any good stills of her with her tongue out.

After it was over, the technician said that she really enjoyed working with us, and asked if we could come back in about two weeks and do the 3D-4D ultrasound AGAIN for some new techs in training. FOR FREE! I was very happy to volunteer! I can't wait to see our little monster again and get MORE pictures. Did I mention they were going to do it FOR FREE! WOW!

My mom was joking as we were leaving the place that the baby isn't even born yet and she's already getting modeling gigs. hehehehe.

Families

Ron asked me to go look at rings with him today! I'm not trying to get my hopes up, but I can't help feeling giddy! Things are starting to get really real! : )

Friday night we had dinner at his fathers house with my mom and dad! It was almost scary how well they got along, I think I'm going to have to schedule more play dates for them. They stayed up drinking and talking until after midnight. I ended up passing out on the couch on Ron's lap waiting for them to finish. It makes me feel good to know that our individual families are becoming one BIG happy family! I've never really been close to my dads side of the family, and after my moms parents died it's really just been the four of us (Me, Mom, Dad, and my brother). I've always wanted to have a BIG family thanksgiving like you see in the movies, and it looks like this year it's going to happen! I feel like my life is really coming together. Everything I've ever wanted is right in front of me. It's all happening.

Now they can't say 100% because with girl parts all it takes is a hiding penis to make it a boy! But they said it looked pretty girl like to them, and we thought so too. We're going to get a 3D/4D ultrasound just to make sure, but we're STOKED! Baby Lily is on her way, and we love her to bits!!!

Nesting

I got hit with the nesting bug this weekend! It started out as just doing the dishes (normal), that turned into taking EVERYTHING out of my cabinets and washing everything, then rearranging them all. I tore apart my refrigerator, scrubbed out every compartment and rearranged all of my condiments by expiration dates. THEN I got on my hands and knees, scrubbed the floor, then the walls, then THE CEILING!!! I spent 8 hours on the kitchen, 11 on the living areas, and a whole day on our bedroom. I was able to get Ron to clean the bathroom (kind of) because our bathroom has no ventilation so he was worried about the baby breathing in all the chemicals. It's not clean to my standards, but it's better than it was. Now if only I could get his brother out of our house so I could start on the nursery. I'm just DYING to get my hands on that room!

Last night Ron went over to his friend Teddy's house to watch basketball, he wanted me to go with him but I really couldn't care less about basketball, and the walls in the living room were begging me to Mr. clean magic eraser them. As soon as he left I felt the baby kick REAL hard. I got so excited because I hadn't felt it move in a couple days, so I spent the rest of the time Ron was gone just lying on the couch holding my belly and feeling my baby move around. It is the most wonderful feeling in the world! When babe got home and I told him about all the movement he missed out on and he got pretty bummed, but later that night in bed while he was talking to my belly he was able to feel it kick pretty hard. He looked like he was going to cry! We're both so excited!

We get our BIG ultrasound on Wednesday! Myself and pretty much everyone close to me thinks it's going to be a girl. I took some silly "old wives tales" quiz online and it said we have a 83% chance of it being a girl. I think part of us (Ronand I) is hoping it's a girl because we're butting heads so hard on boys names. He's into the super crazy Irish names, and I'm just not. Ugh.

Tingles

Last night I could feel little fingers (or toes?) running down my insides! I've never felt anything like that is my life! It freaked me out SO bad at first, but after it was over all I could think was how badly I wanted to feel it again! I love being able to feel my baby. I love knowing that it's still in there, growing into something so wonderful I can't even imagine! This is my child. This is my future.
